Accreditation is a voluntary certification program for public relations professionals. Members of PRCA who have at least five years of paid, full-time experience in the professional practice of public relations, or in teaching or administration of public relations courses in an accredited college or university are eligible to sit for the exam.

APR Designation Can Be Yours

Accredited in Public Relations (APR) is a mark of distinction for public relations professionals who demonstrate their commitment to the profession and to its ethical practice, and who are selected based on broad knowledge, strategic perspective, and sound professional judgment.

You can learn in depth about APR and how to begin the process to achieve the distinction by going to www.prcaonline.com.

You can also contact Robby Johnson, APR, Vice President of Accreditation for the PRCA West Alabama Chapter, if you’re interested in taking the steps toward accreditation.

For information, e-mail Robby at rbjohnson@westervelt.com, or call him at (205) 562-5445.
